After 15 years at Children’s Hospital of WI, working as a nurse with chronically ill children and their families, I realized I needed to study the mind and its workings to further help people heal. This lead me down a fascinating path. I learned Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB – a technique used to regulate our nervous system and help us feel more comfortable in our bodies), as well Induced After Death communication (a treatment for grief), Mindfulness and Somatic Therapy, EMDR, and energy healing.
In my current practice, I primarily work with adolescents and adults to cope with trauma, depression, OCD, and grief/loss. My goal is to help clients heal from experiences and beliefs that interfere with feelings of wholeness, joy, and contentment. I also enjoy working with children ages 6 and up, particularly on trauma, anxiety, and bullying.
Outside of my therapy practice, I am a yoga practitioner and teacher. Yoga and meditation are a daily practice for me. I have three grown children, all in different states, and have been married seemingly forever, as my husband and I met as teenagers. I have authored two books: Addictions: Inspiration for Change and The Other Side, Embracing the Idea of Immortality through Yoga, Science, and the Mystical. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals.
